Proposed OHIP change for travel benefits could raise costs for plan sponsors
The Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA) is suggesting that employers who are providing group travel insurance may start paying more for these products because of proposed amendments to a regulation under Ontario’s Health Insurance Act that would come into force on October 1, 2019.
Rising health benefit costs
According to a survey released by Accompass, a division of Gallagher Benefit Services (Canada) Group, health benefit costs are forecast to rise by 11.55 percent in 2019.
