Committee review completed for Bill 64: A step closer to a major reform of Quebec’s personal information protection regime

Bill 64 was first introduced by the Government of Quebec in the National Assembly on June 12, 2020. After months of committee review that began in February 2021, the detailed study of the Bill by the Committee on Institutions of the National Assembly ended on August 24, 2021.

Extended COVID-19 sick days

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the Ontario government has announced the extension of the 3-day COVID-19 paid leave. This extension will currently run until the end of 2021 as new risks and information are being identified in association with the delta variant of COVID-19. Employers are to ensure that they are up to date with extended COVID-19 sick days to provide to their employees.
