A recent study examined employees suffering with arthritis and how it affected their work and personal life. Researchers found that employees with arthritis experienced role overload, role conflict, role strain and role facilitation. It was found that personal strategies such as positive framing and contextual factors such as support were important in contributing to or improving role balance/imbalance.
