Henry J. Chang, who is a regular guest blogger for First Reference Talks, has recently announced that he is running for bencher (i.e. director) of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the governing body for lawyers in Ontario.
One of the more controversial issues being considered by the Law Society of Upper Canada (“LSUC”) is whether to permit lawyers in Ontario to utilize Alternative Business Structures (“ABS”). To learn more about his formal position on this and other key issues, click here.
