The Remembrance Day Bill enacted
On March 1, 2018, Bill C-311, An Act to amend the Holidays Act (Remembrance Day) received royal assent recognizing Remembrance Day (November 11) as a national legal holiday.
2017 public sector salaries disclosed (sunshine list)
On March 23, 2018, the Ontario government released the salaries of Ontario Public Service and broader public sector employees who were paid $100,000 or more in 2017. . In 2017, there are 131,741 workers on the list, an increase from 123,410 last year with earning salaries and benefits that total over $16.8 billion.
