Effective November 1, 2018, Ontario’s Police Record Checks Reform Act to eliminate unnecessary barriers to employment, education and volunteer opportunities resulting from the inappropriate release of non-conviction or mental health information disclosed during a police record check.
On May 7, 2018, the Ontario government filed Ontario Regulation 375/18 under the Employment Standards Act to temporarily change how public holidays are to be paid and calculated.
