Federal COVID-19 aid package: 10 percent wage subsidy and the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (updated)
On April 11, 2020, the federal government enacted legislation confirming how the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy will work.
The federal government has put measures in place to help employees affected by COVID-19 access Employment Insurance sickness benefits and other programs. These measures are continually being updated.
Only a crisis—actual or perceived—produces real change. When that crisis occurs the actions that are taken depend on the ideas that are lying around. (In PDF)
