The Ontario Ministry of Labour is currently reviewing recommendations under Ontario’s Employment Standards Act, which includes a higher minimum wage up to $15 per hour and paid sick leave.
The following two cases address persons employed as “a duly qualified practitioner of public accounting” and “as a student in training,” and their entitlement to overtime.
