Ontario’s the Stronger, Fairer Ontario Act (Budget Measures), 2017 (Bill 177) to amend the Ontario Taxation Act, 2007 received royal assent on December 14, 2017 and is now in force.
Ontario’s Budget Bill 177 to amend the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act that impact employers and members of the joint health and safety committee including a health and safety representative received royal assent and is now law.
On December 12, 2017, the Ontario government gave royal assent to a Bill which will create the Cannabis Act, 2017 to provide the provincial framework for the upcoming federal Bill C-45, Cannabis Act that will legalize cannabis in Canada in July 1, 2018.
