The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has implemented a new payment on filing policy that will apply as of January 2020 for the 2019 reporting year.
According to a recent Ontario Superior Court decision, a well-drafted termination provision is very important in a fixed-term employment contract. The Court awarded nine years of salary and benefits to an employee who, in the Court’s view, had been constructively dismissed during a fixed-term contract of employment.
