Proposed changes regarding health and safety committees, representatives and training
On June 8, 2013, the federal Department of Human Resources and Skills Development, Department of Transport, Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, and Department of Natural Resources published amendments to the Policy Committees, Work Place Committees and Health and Safety Representatives Regulations in light of changes to the Canada Labour Code that add rules of procedure for policy committees, address training requirements and add minor administrative changes to harmonize the Regulations with the Code.
Changes to the online payroll deductions calculator
The July 1, 2013, version of the payroll deductions online calculator is now available. Recent changes involve the insertion of new input fields in “clergy” for better accuracy of tax calculations and updated tax rates for New Brunswick that become effective July 1, 2013.
