On August 17, 2021, the Government of Ontario mandated new vaccine requirements for more workplaces to implement COVID-19 vaccine policies and have staff vaccinated.
Changes in workplace structures as a result of COVID-19 are being referred to as “hybrid” workplaces, meaning that the workplace has different physical arrangements, different scheduling and communications, for example. Employers must understand the difficulties for employees adjusting to workplace changes.
Employers should be aware of the option to have COVID-19 rapid testing kits in the workplace for workers. The Health Minister of Canada announced the availability of free rapid testing kits to keep Canadian businesses open.
