Employer allowed to discipline employee for discriminatory Facebook posting
This matter concerns a disciplinary suspension imposed on a teacher in connection with a discriminatory Facebook posting about a co-worker. An Ontario labour arbitrator decided that the employer rightly disciplined the employee. However, the length of the suspension was a bit long given the lack of disciplinary record.
